An Invitation from the Artist

I live in the United States, where following Jesus often feels safe, familiar, and free.

Persecution can feel like something happening “over there”—far from my home, my children, my church, and my everyday life.

But it still keeps showing up on my screen. As I began looking closer, I saw something I did not expect.

I saw the hand of God painting in the dark.

I saw colors where I expected only sorrow—colors so vibrant and radiant that they touched my heart deeply.

And then I realized His hand was not only reaching toward them.

He was reaching toward me, too.

I had thought of the persecuted Church as the part of the Body that needed help, prayer, resources, and support.

And they do.

But I had not realized how deeply they were already blessing us with their courage, joy, worship, and costly faith. They carry treasures that shine in heaven — treasures many of us cannot see from a place of comfort. Their faith reminds us that Jesus is worth everything. Their joy reminds us that suffering cannot steal what is rooted in Christ. Their witness reminds us that the Body of Christ is not divided by distance, language, comfort, or suffering.

God is reviving His Church globally.

He is calling us to remember that we are one Body.

And in His kindness, He strengthens His people through one another—the suffering Church awakening the comfortable Church, and the comfortable Church being invited to stand, pray, give, and love.

What once felt like a distant burden became a holy invitation.

To stop looking away.

To pray.

To witness what God is doing.

And to take part.

That invitation became Vibrant Faith.

Stand with Them

One of the major inspirations behind this collection is the work of Global Christian Relief. Through their ministry, I began to see the persecuted body of Christ not as distant strangers, but as family — brothers and sisters whose faith strengthens and blesses the whole Church.

Through their stories, resources, and frontline support, Global Christian Relief helps us learn how to pray, care, and stand with believers who are following Jesus in places of pressure, danger, and darkness.
